Annual General Meeting 2024

Sunday June 2nd your Alberta Estonian Heritage Society is again hosting our Annual General Meeting at the Kerry Wood Nature Center in Red Deer, Alberta.
Located along the Red Deer River in Central Alberta’s Boreal Forest, this Canadian Migratory Bird sanctuary features the Gaetz Lakes and the Wishart Trail for foot traffic and no dogs (coyotes permitted!!!).
Our event is fast-approaching and will run rain or shine, as we have the interior space booked for our potluck lunch that will kick-off our reunion.
The meeting will include the mundane and the adventurous, as we will have our inaugural rapid-fire slideshow festival. Interested participants are hereby challenged to arrange twenty slides preset to flow at a rate of one slide every twenty seconds! You as narrator will speak, sing, or perform along with the slideshow. You may simply have your own photographs comprise the slides or try your hand at any form of slideshow format!

Submission deadline for entries is May 24th, as we must respect the operating hours of the Kerry Wood Nature Center.
We will include an update on our activities this past year, opportunities for members to discuss and vote, and insights into our plans for the AEHS’s upcoming year. Make sure that your membership is up to date to be eligible to vote.
This day will give you an opportunity to join one of our ongoing or new committees, it will be a great time to meet new and old friends.
