Sunday, June 2nd your Alberta Estonian Heritage Society is again hosting our Annual General Meeting at the Kerry Wood Nature Center in Red Deer, Alberta from 12PM-4:30PM at the Kerry Wood Nature Center in Red Deer. This is an ideal moment to become more involved or see what we are about!
Located along the Red Deer River in Central Alberta’s Boreal Forest, this Canadian Migratory Bird sanctuary features the Gaetz Lakes and the Wishart Trail for foot traffic and no dogs. (coyotes permitted!!!)
Our event is fast-approaching and will run rain or shine, as we have the interior space booked for our potluck lunch that will kick-off our reunion.
Re: Your Invitation to present ‘Pecha Kucha-style’
The meeting will include the mundane and the adventurous, as we will have our inaugural Pecha Kucha-style, rapid-fire slideshow festival. Interested participants are hereby challenged to arrange twenty slides preset to flow at a rate of one slide every twenty seconds! You as narrator will speak, sing, or perform along with the slideshow. You may simply have your own photographs comprise the slides or try your hand at any form of slideshow format with images only! Please contact us – email@aehs.ca for more information, or if you are interested in submitting. The submission deadline for entries is May 24th.
