About this event

We are excited to celebrate — join us for the AEHS 20th Anniversary and Jaanipäev! Palju õnne, AEHS!

Jaanipäev, the summer solstice, is one of Estonia’s most beloved holidays — and this year, we’re also celebrating the 20th birthday of the Alberta Estonian Heritage Society!

Register and get your tickets by May 15 to receive a special prize package for children and youth!  You can purchase tickets here:

This full-day celebration is for all ages — from 1 to 100 — and welcomes AEHS members of Estonian heritage, as well as anyone curious about Estonian culture.

Enjoy a day filled with Estonian arts and culture — from traditional games and pioneer picnic fun to pony and wagon rides, and even a modern bouncy play structure.

Join us for Estonian folk dancing, and a sing-along featuring songs in both English and Estonian.

Dinner is included with your ticket and will be served at 5:00 PM. Our heritage meal features a whole pig roast — please contact us for details.
Potluck dishes are welcome for lunch.

Everyone is welcome to attend the AEHS Annual General Meeting (AGM) at 10:00 AM.
Please ensure you are an active member to be eligible to vote.
Interested in getting more involved? Consider joining the AEHS Board or a committee — we’d love to have you!

Please send us an email to email@aehs.ca if you have any questions.

Hope to see you there!
